Cashier - Retail Store

Cashier - Retail Store (Al Buraymi, Oman) We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Cashier to join our retail store in Al Buraymi, Oman. As a Cashier, your main responsibility will be to process transactions accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service.

• Greet customers and assist them with their purchases
• Scan products and process payments using cash registers or other electronic devices
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers
• Maintain accurate cash drawer by counting money at the beginning and end of each shift
• Handle exchanges or returns in a timely manner
• Ensure all prices and quantities are accurate on product labels
  
  Keep the checkout area clean and organized
• Answer customer inquiries regarding products, store policies, and payment methods
• Upsell products by informing customers of current promotions or special offers
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth store operations

• Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role is preferred but not required
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong mathematical skills for handling cash transactions accurately
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Proficiency in using electronic devices such as cash registers or scanners
• Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations calmly
• Must be able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed
