Head of Accounts and Taxation Job Al Jubayl area,Saudi Arabia,Accounting

Position: Head of Accounts and Taxation.

To lead and manage group level accounting operations and taxation compliance with primary responsibility for ZATCA VAT financial reporting discipline and standardization of accounting practices across all divisions

Key Responsibilities

Accounting and Financial Control Oversee complete accounting function across all divisions

Ensure accuracy of general ledger journals accruals and reconciliations

Drive timely monthly quarterly and year end closing

Review and validate financial statements including P and L Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Ensure consistency in accounting policies and practices across entities

ZATCA and Taxation Compliance Lead all VAT and ZATCA related activities at group level Prepare and review VAT filings and ensure timely submission Handle ZATCA audits queries and assessments Manage objections penalty mitigation and documentation Ensure full compliance with Saudi tax laws and regulatory requirements

Consolidation and Reporting Prepare group level financial reports and consolidation Analyze division wise performance and highlight key variances Support Financial Controller in management reporting and decision making Maintain audit ready financial records and schedules

Team Management and Coordination Supervise and guide senior accountants across divisions Establish accountability and performance discipline within the team Provide technical guidance on accounting and tax matters Coordinate with auditors consultants and internal stakeholders

Internal Controls and Process Improvement Design and implement SOPs for accounting and taxation processes Strengthen internal controls to prevent errors and fraud Ensure proper documentation audit trails and compliance checks Identify process improvements and automation opportunities

Timely and accurate VAT filings with zero penalties

Reduction in compliance risks and audit observations

Improved closing timelines and reporting accuracy

Strong control environment across all divisions

Effective supervision of accounting teams

Qualified or semi-qualified CA (Chartered Accountant) or equivalent professional qualification Minimum 5-10 years of experience in accounting and taxation At least 3-5 years of experience specifically in Saudi Arabia with strong ZATCA exposure Candidate Current Location Must be in Saudi Arabia Immediate Joiner preferred Hands-on experience in VAT filings, ZATCA audits, and compliance is mandatory Experience in multi-entity or multi-location business is preferred.
