Aircraft Maintenance/ Mechanic
Position Summary
Position requires a skilled MH‑60/H‑60 Avionics Technician AT with the ability to perform Planned Maintenance Interval Inspections (PMI), Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot level maintenance on H‑60 helicopters. The role includes troubleshooting, testing, inspections, and repairs of aircraft radio, radar, and navigation equipment and other rapid communication devices. Extensive knowledge in wire and connector repair is required. Position is in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair of major assemblies, subassemblies, and wire and connector replacements on the MH‑60R aircraft and related systems.
- Apply knowledge of electronic theory for inspection, troubleshooting, fault detection, fault isolation, and corrective actions on electrical and utilities systems.
- Operate and maintain all applicable ground support equipment.
- Identify, use, and maintain all common, special, and precision tools for power plant maintenance and repair.
- Maintain all maintenance documentation, forms, records, and reports using appropriate references and publications including the NAMP.
- Provide On‑the‑Job Training (OJT) for Saudi technicians and other personnel, including maintaining appropriate training records.
- Eight (8) years of current or previous experience performing complex helicopter electrical work, including installation, testing, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, alignments, modification, final test calibrations, and solving maintenance problems in advanced navigation, radar, and electronic systems.
- Ability to solve complicated problems encountered by pilots during flight; understand flight characteristics and their effects on electronic systems.
- Proficient with test equipment such as voltmeters, signal generators, sweep/pulse generators, dual‑trace oscilloscopes, deviation meters, sweep carts, precision power, and frequency measuring devices.
- Capability to use various test sets that detect discrepancies not seen during bench rework.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, and technical directives.
- Work with miniaturized solid‑state circuits and devices; use a full range of hand tools.
- Knowledge of digital/analog computers, algebra, and trigonometry.
- Must pass background check and drug test.
- Navy Aviation Avionics – AE MH‑60R HSM HSC Airborne Low‑Frequency Sonar (ALFS): AN/AQS‑22 Sonobuoy Processing System Multi‑Mode Radar: AN/APS‑153(V) Open‑Architecture Mission Computer.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoW Secret Clearance and facility credentials/authorization. US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands- Required to walk, stand, climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands; lift up to 50 pounds.
