Production Engineer – Manufacturing / Steel Fabrication

We are supporting a well-established manufacturing and fabrication business in Saudi Arabia with the appointment of an experienced Production Engineer
.
This role will be responsible for supervising day-to-day production activities, ensuring fabrication work is delivered safely, efficiently, to the required quality standards, and within allocated budgets. The successful candidate will work closely with Production Supervisors and cross-functional teams including Quality, Design, Project Management and Procurement.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise production and fabrication activities to ensure output meets quality, cost and programme requirements.
- Control material wastage, man-hours and consumable usage against budget.
- Allocate manpower, machinery and other production resources effectively.
- Set daily production targets and monitor progress against the fabrication schedule.
- Coordinate with Quality Control, Design, Project Management and Procurement teams to resolve production issues.
- Review work orders, technical documentation and drawings before allocating work to supervisors.
- Ensure accurate production records, reports and documentation are maintained.
- Monitor attendance and timesheets for production teams.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures.
- Support continuous improvement across production activities.
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
, or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
. - Approximately 5–7 years of relevant experience in Process or Static Equipment Fabrication.
- Candidates with a BSc should ideally have at least 5 years' fabrication-industry experience
. - Candidates with a Diploma should have approximately 8 years' fabrication-industry experience
. - Strong experience working within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Good understanding of production planning, manpower allocation, quality and cost control.
- Strong coordination and supervisory skills.
