Develop, implement and maintain the project‑specific QA/QC plans in compliance with Saudi Aramco standards, ASME, API and ISO requirements. Oversee quality activities throughout the fabrication and manufacturing lifecycle of pressure vessels, heat exchangers and related equipment.
Responsibilites- Supervise and manage QC inspectors, welding inspectors and NDT technicians, ensuring accurate documentation and record‑keeping.
- Ensure WPS and PQR are qualified and approved as per applicable codes and client specifications.
- Liaise with client representatives (e.g., Aramco inspectors and third‑party inspectors) and internal departments to resolve quality issues and ensure alignment with contractual quality obligations.
- Conduct and lead internal and external audits, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Ensure all materials, consumables and fabrication activities adhere to traceability and quality documentation requirements.
- Review and approve ITPs, Inspection and Test Plans, quality dossiers and Manufacturing Data Records (MDRs).
- Stay updated with revisions to Aramco standards and ensure timely implementation.
- Monitor vendor quality performance and conduct supplier audits where necessary.
- Witness inspections (NDT, WPQ, WPS, PQR), review radiographs and heat‑test charts, witness UT, PT, MT on weldments equipment and pressure tests.
- Raise Non‑Conformance Reports, verify corrective actions and close NCRs.
- Participate in internal and external ISO
9001 audits.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in QA/QC roles.
- Extensive knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards, including SAES, SAMSS and SAEP specifications.
- Strong command of ASME Section VIII, API
650/660, and international welding standards (AWS, ISO, etc.). - Certified in relevant QA/QC disciplines (e.g., CSWIP
3.1/3.2, AWS‑CWI, ASNT LevelII/III in RT, UT, PT, MT). - Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in quality management systems (ISO
9001) and related documentation. - Familiarity with national and international standards such as ASME, ANSI, API, AWS, DIN, BS, IS, especially ASME SecI, II, VIII, IX, V, B16.5, B31.3, API
598, ASTM, NACEMR
0175. - Knowledge of different materials (CS, SS, DSS, SDSS, cast irons, hard‑facing alloys, etc.) and welding processes (SMAW, SAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW).
- Experience in hardness tests, PMI tests, MTCs and Certificate of Compliance to issue IRN.
