Job Summary
The Coating QC Inspector is responsible for inspecting and monitoring surface preparation, painting, coating, and protective coating activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, Saudi Aramco standards, and international quality requirements. The role involves conducting inspections, maintaining quality documentation, and ensuring all coating works meet client, project, and regulatory standards.
Roles & Responsibilities- Inspect surface preparation activities including abrasive blasting and cleaning prior to coating application.
- Monitor painting and coating activities to ensure compliance with approved specifications and inspection procedures.
- Verify environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and dew point before coating application.
- Inspect coating thickness, surface profile, adhesion, holiday testing, and curing requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco standards, project specifications, and international coating standards.
- Review coating procedures, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
- Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and client representatives during inspections.
- Monitor non-conformance reports (NCRs) and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and maintain coating inspection reports and quality records.
- Support internal audits, client inspections, and quality reviews.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and quality management system requirements.
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Saudi Aramco projects as a Coating QC Inspector.
- Saudi Aramco CBT Passed – Mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of protective coatings, painting systems, inspection procedures, and quality standards.
- Ability to interpret coating specifications, engineering drawings, and inspection documents.
