SECTION I:
Job Summary
The QC Inspector – Fireproofing performs inspection and testing of passive fireproofing application activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
SECTION II:Job Analysis
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections on fireproofing application works.
- Verify surface preparation, primer, and fireproofing material application against specifications.
- Witness thickness (DFT/WFT) checks and adhesion tests per the ITP.
- Verify materials and batch certificates against approved specifications.
- Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.
- Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors.
- Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
- Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment (thickness gauges) used on site.
- Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for fireproofing works.
- Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and fireproofing standards.
- Support preparation of quality documentation for fireproofing handover dossiers.

Required Experience and Education
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on fireproofing/coating application projects.
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering.
- NACE/coating inspection certification preferred.
