Library Archives Assistant Foundation

Qatar Foundation requires dedicated Library Archives Assistants to manage the massive book inventory, assist academic researchers, and maintain absolute order at the Qatar National Library.

• Collect abandoned books left on reading tables by students and return them to the exact correct shelf locations.
• Load plastic student  into the main computer system to process book borrowing and returning requests smoothly.
• Walk through the silent study zones constantly to ensure nobody is eating food or talking loudly near the research students.
• Pack damaged or torn paperback books into protective boxes so the maintenance department can glue them back together.

• Alphabetical Sorting:
  Arranging titles requires extreme attention to detail and a perfect understanding of the English and Arabic alphabets.
• Physical Stamina:
  Standing on small step ladders to reach the highest shelves and walking across the giant building requires good physical fitness.
• Customer Service:
  Smiling and whispering politely when helping foreign tourists find the famous heritage exhibition area.

• Basic Income: 3,500 to 5,000 QAR fixed monthly salary, depending on previous library or data entry experience.
