Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a Head of Girls’ School to join Etqan Global Academy in Doha, Qatar. We are looking for an exceptional leader to provide strategic and operational leadership across the Girls’ division (PYP and MYP). This role is responsible for driving high academic standards, strong pastoral systems, and a culture rooted in inquiry, integrity, and ambition.
Working closely with the Principal and Senior Leadership Team, you will play a key role in strengthening IB programme delivery, supporting authorisation processes, and preparing for future expansion into the Diploma Programme (DP) and Career‑related Programme (CP).
Responsibilities- Providing clear strategic direction aligned with the school improvement plan and IB philosophy
- Leading high-quality implementation of the IB PYP and MYP programmes
- Ensuring curriculum coherence, progression, and alignment across phases
- Driving high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment
- Supporting IB evaluation, authorisation, and compliance processes
- Promoting inquiry-based, concept-driven learning and international mindedness
- Establishing a strong pastoral culture focused on wellbeing, safeguarding, and student development
- Embedding character education aligned with Qatari values and school ethos
- Leading, coaching, and developing teaching and support staff
- Driving accountability, performance, and professional development
- Building strong relationships with parents and the wider school community
- Contributing to enrolment growth and overall school development
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject (essential)
- Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE,
B.Ed. or equivalent) - Master’s Degree in Education or Educational Leadership (strongly desirable)
- Proven senior leadership experience within an IB PYP and/or MYP setting
- Strong understanding of IB standards and practices
- Experience supporting IB evaluation or authorisation processes
- Demonstrated success in raising academic standards
- Strong pastoral leadership experience
- Experience working in diverse or bilingual environments
- Ability to lead school improvement and manage change effectively
