Early Years Teacher
Location:
Etqan Global Academy (EGA), Doha, Qatar
- Planning and delivering engaging, play‑based and inquiry‑led learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP Early Years framework
- Creating and maintaining a nurturing, safe and stimulating learning environment where all children feel valued and inspired
- Assessing and tracking children's development using observations and portfolio evidence; using this to inform next steps
- Building strong, collaborative partnerships with parents and families through regular communication and engagement
- Contributing to the planning, reflection and review of units of inquiry in collaboration with the Early Years team
- Promoting the IB learner profile, international‑mindedness and the PYP attitudes in all aspects of classroom practice
- Supporting children's wellbeing, independence and social‑emotional development
- Contributing positively to the wider EGA school community, including CPD, school events and improvement activities
- A recognised teaching qualification in Early Years, primary or early childhood education (PGCE, QTS,
B.Ed or equivalent) - Experience teaching in an Early Years setting with children aged 3–6, ideally within an IB or international school
- Knowledge of the IB PYP Early Years framework or equivalent inquiry‑based early years curriculum
- A strong understanding of child development theory and play‑based, child‑initiated learning approaches
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, nurturing approach to working with young children and families
- A commitment to inclusive practice and the wellbeing of all children
- A commitment to safeguarding and child protection
- International school experience desirable
