Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a PYP Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha, Qatar.
Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is a newly established IB World School in Doha, Qatar, offering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). We are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative and inquiry-minded PYP Teacher to join our primary team, delivering an outstanding transdisciplinary learning experience and making a real difference to the lives of our students.
The Role- Planning and delivering high-quality, transdisciplinary units of inquiry in line with the IB PYP framework
- Creating an engaging, inclusive and student-centred classroom environment that promotes agency, curiosity and a love of learning
- Using a range of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor, document and support student progress
- Collaborating with grade-level and specialist colleagues to plan, reflect and review units of inquiry
- Embedding the IB learner profile, PYP attitudes and all five essential elements throughout teaching and learning
- Promoting student agency, voice and international-mindedness in all aspects of school life
- Building strong partnerships with parents and engaging them meaningfully in their child's learning journey
- Contributing actively to the wider life of EGA, including school events, CPD and school improvement activities
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS,
B.Ed or equivalent) - Proven experience teaching in an IB PYP school
- Strong knowledge of the PYP curriculum framework, units of inquiry and transdisciplinary learning
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated and student-centred lessons
- Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional development
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
- IB PYP workshop training desirable; international school experience desirable
