An established engineering organisation supporting major energy projects in the Middle East is seeking an experienced Senior Piping Designer for a short-term assignment in Qatar. This role will support FEED-stage project delivery and requires strong hands-on 3D modelling and piping design capability across both onshore and offshore environments.

This assignment is well suited to a senior-level designer who can quickly integrate into a project team and deliver high-quality piping design outputs to tight schedules.

You will be responsible for producing and developing piping design deliverables during the FEED phase, working closely with engineers and other disciplines to ensure designs are technically sound, constructible and compliant with project standards.

• Develop piping layouts and detailed 2D drawings derived from 3D models
• Execute piping design activities during FEED project phases
• Produce plot plans, piping GA drawings, isometrics and design deliverables
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design interfaces
• Apply industry standards, project specifications and best practice
• Support onshore and offshore project requirements as assigned
• Ensure design quality, accuracy and consistency across deliverables

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 10 years of experience in piping design within the oil and gas or energy sector
• Proven experience working on both onshore and offshore projects
• Strong experience supporting FEED-stage engineering projects
• Demonstrated ability to produce 2D drawings from 3D piping models
• Solid understanding of piping design standards and industry practices

• Piping design proficiency using PDMS Draft and/or Aveva Draw
• Experience developing 2D design deliverables from 3D models
