Senior Designer; Civil​/Structural

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer (Civil/Structural) to support a range of onshore and offshore projects across multiple stages, from conceptual design to detailed engineering. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and updating project drawings, performing quality checks, and supporting site activities. This position provides exposure to technically challenging projects within the energy sector and offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality engineering deliverables.

• Prepare project drawings for onshore and offshore projects at Conceptual, FEED, and Detailed Design Engineering stages.
• Update As-built drawings and documentation as required.
• Conduct site visits and prepare conceptual study sketches or drawings for project planning and management presentations.
• Produce CAD drawings in compliance with company standards and requirements.
• Perform quality checks on drawings to verify accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Prepare supporting materials such as charts, graphs, documents, and drawings for reports and presentations.
• Collect and consolidate engineering data from various sources, including internal information systems.
• Ensure technical accuracy, compliance with drafting standards, and proper numbering and tagging on all drawings produced.
• Review contractor-submitted drawings to confirm compliance with applicable engineering standards and good practice.
• Maintain familiarity with applicable international engineering codes, design and drafting standards, and industry best practices.

• Engineering degree or diploma (minimum 3-year full-time programme) in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience, including at least 6 years in the energy or oil and gas sector.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, including 3D modelling; experience with Arc Map preferred.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience conducting site visits and preparing redline markups.
• Ability to prepare and execute tasks independently within scheduled timelines.
• Familiarity with international engineering codes, design standards, and drafting practices.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
