Apache Mechanical Technician - General

Position Responsibilities

• Perform AH‑64E aircraft maintenance tasks and aircrew‑member duties using QAF specific manuals and tools.
• Remove and install aircraft systems, subsystems, and components, including engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, and flight controls.
• Service and lubricate aircraft systems, subsystems, and components.
• Prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance actions.
• Use precision measuring tools, gauges, and alignment fixtures for inspections.
• Conduct routine and special inspections of aircraft and related components.
• Perform maintenance operational checks and diagnose/arise problems in aircraft subsystems.
• Operate and maintain tools, special tools, and ground support equipment (AGSE and PGSE).
• Prepare maintenance forms and records.
• Provide on‑the‑job training, coaching, and mentorship to QAF personnel, enabling effective AH‑64E aircraft mechanics.
• Assemble, disassemble, and modify systems by replacing or upgrading components.
• Coordinate assembly, disassembly, or overhaul activities.
• Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
• Repair complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems and verify systems and components through testing.
• Document procedures and processes for contractual and regulatory compliance.
• Inspect and verify repairs for flight‑worthiness requirements.
• Coordinate training activities.
• Work under general direction, with travel on short notice, both domestically and internationally.

• Minimum 6years of experience with the AH‑64D or AH‑64E aircraft.
• Minimum 3years of experience with ULLS‑A(E) and ELAS entries.
• Completion of a U.S. Government armed forces aircraft maintenance course or equivalent civilian training.
• Contractor factory training or equivalent reviewed and approved by the appropriate representative.

• Airframe and Powerplant license or equivalent.
• Army Service School instructor or civilian equivalent for ASE technicians.
• Experience in another aviation maintenance field.
• Experience working in the Southwest Asia/desert region.

• Shift: 1st shift.
• Location:
  
  AlUdeid Air Base, Qatar.
• Travel required on short notice, domestic and international.
