Electrical MEP Draftsman Projects

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced MEP Draftsman (Electrical) to join our dynamic team in Qatar. This role is critical to the successful execution of commercial, residential, and industrial projects, requiring precise electrical and MEP drafting, strong coordination with engineering and site teams, and strict adherence to Qatar’s regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing accurate shop drawings, maintaining as-built records, and ensuring seamless project delivery through technical excellence and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed electrical shop drawings and MEP coordination drawings
• Develop lighting layouts, power layouts, cable tray layouts, and single-line diagrams
• Update as-built drawings based on site conditions and project changes
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and site supervisors to align drawings with project needs
• Review technical drawings and project specifications for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure all drawings meet project standards and Qatar regulations
• Revise drawings in response to consultant feedback and site requirements
• Maintain organized drawing records and revision documentation
• Provide technical drafting support to project teams as needed

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of local experience in Qatar
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience in electrical and MEP drafting works
• Proficient in AutoCAD and related drafting software
• Familiarity with commercial and residential construction projects
• Valid Qatar Driving License is mandatory
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
• Immediate joining preferred

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting coordination drawings
• Experience working with MEP contractors or construction companies
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and site requirements
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
