Welding Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead supervise and coordinate the activities of welding personnel ensuring that work is performed according to specifications and timelines.
• Oversee daily welding activities ensuring adherence to welding procedures, safety standards and quality requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of welding work to confirm compliance with relevant codes and industry standards (e.g. ASME, API, AWS).
• Provide guidance and mentorship to subordinates on a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness.
• Manage and maintain welding supplies, equipment, and workflow to optimize productivity and efficiency on‑site.
• Work closely with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of welding activities.
• Enforce safety protocols and best practices to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Identify and address welding‑related issues or challenges that arise during operations, providing technical support as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including performance reports, weld inspection results and any incidents or non‑conformities.

• Minimum High National Diploma or equivalent in the relevant discipline.
• Certification in welding or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 8–10 years direct and relevant experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical or Heavy Manufacturing Industry.
• Strong knowledge of various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) and associated materials.
• Familiar with industry standards and regulations governing welding practices.
• Strong supervisory and team management skills.
