Rigging Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Leadership:
• Supervise and direct a team of riggers, ensuring that all rigging tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and within project timelines.
• Provide training and guidance to rigging personnel on best practices, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Monitor work progress and adjust resources as necessary to meet project schedules.
• Rigging Operations:
• Oversee the planning and execution of all rigging operations, including the lifting, positioning, and securing of heavy loads.
• Ensure proper rigging equipment, including slings, hoists, pulleys, and cranes, is used and maintained in good working order.
• Conduct risk assessments before each rigging operation to identify hazards and implement mitigation measures.
• Ensure proper placement and stabilization of loads during lifting and moving operations.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure all rigging activities adhere to safety regulations and company safety standards.
• Perform regular inspections of rigging equipment and machinery to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
• Identify hazards on-site and take corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Complete and maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and safety checks for rigging equipment.
• Project Coordination:
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to plan and schedule rigging operations according to project requirements.
• Coordinate logistics for the delivery, placement, and removal of rigging equipment and materials.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during rigging operations and ensure quick resolution.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of rigging activities, including work logs, inspections, and incident reports.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety violations to management.
• Assist in preparing reports for senior management on the status and progress of rigging operations.
• Equipment Management:
• Ensure the availability and proper functioning of all rigging equipment on-site.
• Coordinate the maintenance, repair, and replacement of rigging gear as necessary.
• Oversee the storage, handling, and transportation of rigging equipment to and from work sites.
