Our client is an established commercial roofing contractor specializing in roofing systems, wall panels, and metal buildings throughout Alabama. They are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Project Manager with strong technical knowledge of roofing systems and wall panels. This role requires hands‑on project management with estimating support.
Key Responsibilities- Manage commercial roofing, wall panel, and metal building projects from start to finish
- Develop and maintain project schedules; coordinate with general contractors and subcontractors
- Review shop drawings and prepare project submittals
- Order materials and coordinate deliveries
- Ensure all work complies with contract documents, plans, and specifications
- Coordinate with manufacturers to meet warranty requirements
- Monitor project budgets and maintain profitability
- Assist with bid preparation and project estimating
- Conduct site visits and quality inspections
- 5+ years in commercial roofing project management
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built‑up roofing, metal roofing)
- Strong understanding of wall panel systems (ACM panels, IMP panels, specialty formed metal panels)
- Experience with metal building systems
- Proficient reading construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
- Knowledge of roofing manufacturer warranty requirements
- Understanding of submittal processes and construction scheduling
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
