• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Specialisation in Anaesthesiology / Anaesthesia
• Registered with the relevant medical council (e.g. HPCSA or equivalent)
• Valid practising licence
• Minimum X years’ experience as an Anaesthesiologist (preferred)
• Current ACLS, BLS (and PALS where applicable) certification
• Willingness to work flexible hours, on-call and emergency shifts
• Medical indemnity cover

• Perform pre-operative patient assessments and risk evaluations
• Administer general, regional and local anaesthesia safely
• Monitor patients’ vital signs during surgical procedures
• Manage pain control before, during and after surgery
• Ensure patient safety and respond to anaesthetic emergencies
• Oversee post-anaesthesia recovery and patient stabilisation
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses and theatre staff
• Maintain accurate patient records and anaesthetic charts
• Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards and ethical guidelines
• Participate in continuous professional development
