Success Coach (Contract) - Montgomery, AL
Join Ed Farm as a part‑time contractor to support learner growth, confidence, and retention within the Pathways to Tech program.
Job PurposeThe Success Coach supports learner development by providing proactive coaching, facilitating workshops, and collaborating closely with mentors and career coaches.
Responsibilities- Standard availability Monday – Friday 4:00 – 9:00 PM CST (flexible as needed)
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group coaching to help learners set goals, build confidence, and stay engaged
- Lead or coordinate sessions on wellness, financial empowerment, personal development, and other life skills
- Identify and address barriers to learner retention and success (e.g., academic challenges, personal issues, resource limitations)
- Serve as main point of contact for learners facing difficulties related to the program
- Listen actively, assess situations, provide appropriate support and resources, connect learners with relevant services, and track interventions
- Maintain regular communication with Mentors & Career Coach to coordinate support and share insights on learner progress, challenges, and goals
- Keep accurate records of coaching sessions, interventions, and learner progress
- Analyze trends and patterns in learner challenges to inform proactive support strategies
- Provide regular reports on learner retention efforts and outcomes
- Create a supportive environment that promotes learner connection, collaboration, and resilience—both virtually and in‑person
- Develop and implement strategies to foster community and connection among asynchronous learners
- Offer consistent motivation, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to learners
- Engage diverse learners respectfully, fostering belonging and accessibility
- Communicate clearly across virtual and in‑person settings
- Build rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with learners and peers
- Use active listening, growth‑mindset strategies, and positive reinforcement to coach learners through barriers
- Remain flexible and respond effectively to learner needs or program challenges
- Manage responsibilities across facilitation, coaching, planning, and reporting with timeliness and accuracy
