The School District of La Crosse is accepting applications for a 1.0 FTE Limited Term Contract Cross Categorical Special Education Teacher at Logan Middle School for the second semester of the school year. Projected start date:

- Wisconsin certification 1801 and/or 1810, 1811, or 1830 is required. Multiple certifications are preferred.
- Experience with autism and EBD programming.
- Special concentration in Learning Disabilities and/or Emotional Behavioral Disabilities.
- Demonstrated skills in assessing, instructing, and programming for LD and EBD students.
- Experience working with a team of regular and special educators to meet student needs.
- Experience developing behavior intervention plans.
- Skills in the use of assistive and adaptive technology to support student independence.
- Certification in Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention, CPR and First Aid.
- Instruction of students with learning disabilities and emotional behavioral disabilities, including team teaching.
- Management of all aspects of student program: functional behavior assessment, behavior plans, academic assessments, writing and implementing integrated IEPs, and consulting with staff and parents.
- Work as part of the IEP team to appropriately place students and monitor their progress.
