Instrumentation and Controls Superintendent

RINA is looking for an Instrumentation and Controls Superintendent to join an upgrade LNG project in the USA.
Duties and Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for instrumentation and controls during the LNG facility upgrade.
- Ensure all work aligns with client standards, project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve contractor work related to instrumentation and control systems.
- Supervise installation, calibration and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems.
- Oversee integration and configuration of HMI systems and PLC programming for process control.
- Validate logic diagrams, control narratives and functional testing procedures.
- Monitor adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Conduct inspections and audits of instrumentation and control installations.
- Ensure proper documentation of changes, configurations and testing results.
- Provide technical guidance for resolving issues related to PLC logic, HMI interfaces and field instrumentation.
- Support SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) activities.
- Prepare progress reports and communicate updates to client and project management.
- Track milestones and ensure timely completion of instrumentation and control deliverables.
- Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and SCADA.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity standards for industrial control systems.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams and control schematics.
- Good knowledge in the use of PC including software and applications (e.g., Windows, Office).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls within LNG or similar process facilities.
- Strong expertise in PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens or similar) and HMI development/configuration.
- Familiarity with industry standards (ISA, IEC) and LNG process control systems.
- Proven ability to manage contractors and ensure compliance with client specifications.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
