Location: Hartford, AL
Pay Rate: $70,000-$80,000 annually

Looking for a Design Engineer role in Hartford, AL where you lead product innovation? Advantage Technical is hiring on behalf of a leading commercial HVAC manufacturer seeking a Senior Design Engineer to drive product development from concept through production launch. You'll supervise a talented drafting team, design complex mechanical systems using CAD, and partner with manufacturing and quality teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
Job Duties- Design mechanical components for product development using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
- Develop engineering drawings, assembly documentation, and bills of materials
- Conduct product testing, performance analysis, and cost evaluation
- Supervise drafting team and manage engineering workloads and priorities
- Coordinate prototype fabrication and testing activities
- Support manufacturing operations with troubleshooting and continuous improvement
- Create CNC programming files and manufacturing layouts
- Assist with product launches and production implementation
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
Experience Requirements- 1+ years of engineering, design, drafting, or manufacturing experience
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication or aluminum extrusions
- HVAC product or manufacturing environment experience
- CNC programming experience with AlphaCAM
- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in manufacturing facility
- Occasional travel to facilities or suppliers as needed
