- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- Registry in Radiography in good standing with the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
- Must pass the registry for Mammography within one year of hire date.
- Must possess American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Experience in a clinical setting performing mammography procedures.
- Additional certifications in advanced imaging techniques.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Perform mammographic imaging procedures on patients while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Prepare and position patients for mammography exams, explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain and operate mammography equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and safely.
- Collaborate with radiologists to review images and assist in the diagnostic process.
- Document patient information and imaging results accurately in the medical records system.
