The Role

We are looking for a Spiritual Guide to support the Life Connections Program in Aliceville
, Alabama
. This part-time position involves delivering faith-based guidance and practical life skills to adult participants within a correctional setting
.

You will provide up to 20 hours of classroom instruction weekly, working Monday to Thursday, 5 hours per day. Some flexibility in scheduling may be required, as determined by the Program Manager.

This is a part-time 1099 vacancy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver faith-based instruction and life skills training in a classroom setting.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager and other staff to develop the program and monitor participants’ progress.
  • Engage with individuals from various faith backgrounds, ensuring inclusive support.
  • Attend all required training sessions by the Bureau of Prisons.
  • Participate in relevant team and program-related meetings.
The Person
  • A recognized member in good standing with a faith-based community (reference required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in religious studies, education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in a correctional or community setting is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work inclusively with individuals from diverse faith traditions.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
