General Foreman - New Construction

The Foreman holds the critical responsibility of supervising work crews to ensure timely and safe completion of assigned projects. This role is safety‑sensitive because any failure to execute essential duties could pose a threat to health and safety.

• $34+/hourly
• Paid WEEKLY

• Supervise and coordinate work crews engaged in erecting, fabricating, and installing structural steel.
• Communicate with customers to organize work details and solve problems.
• Organize, lead, and train employees to complete projects within established guidelines and timeframe.
• Prepare performance reviews, warning/counseling reports, and separation reports for crew.
• Adhere to all company safety and QA/QC programs and OSHA regulations.
• Work overtime and maintain regular, punctual attendance.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a foreman in various crafts.
• Good oral communication skills and ability to organize and plan work in a timely manner.
• Basic math skills and ability to read/understand structural drawings.

• Lift more than 50 pounds frequently and lift own body weight while climbing more than 300 feet.
• Pull own weight when climbing stairs, ladders and scaffolding up to 150 feet.
• Excessive amounts of bending, stooping, carrying, pushing, and pulling weights up to 50 pounds.
• Tolerate temperature fluctuations, loud and dusty work environment, and exposure to high voltage electromagnetic fields.
• Some travel required.
• Work long hours, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

This role is classified as safety sensitive. Candidates must demonstrate the capacity to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Compliance with this requirement is a fundamental condition for employment.
