Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a MACHINING OPERATOR in Athens, AL
. Our client is a leading manufacturer of lightweight, aluminum high pressure die casting structural and power train parts. The MACHINING OPERATOR is responsible for loading and unloading aluminum castings from CNC and assembly machines. The Operator will also straighten and or polish aluminum castings using a variety of pneumatic equipment and hand tools. As a Forklift Operator you will be ensuring safe operations and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities of a MACHINING OPERATOR includes:

• Must be able to control output of machines to produce quality parts that are within required specifications.
• Perform quality checks on the finished product to verify conformance to specifications and ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Perform setups, changeovers and preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery. Operators will be trained to perform tasks.
• Unload and load material
• Identify damages.
• Report shortages
• Report quality deficiencies

• Must have 2 years of experience as a Forklift/tugger Operator.
• Must have 12 months of continuous work experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environment; and/or equivalent military experience.
• Must be quality conscious, paying a high degree of attention to detail.
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
• Must have excellent hand and eye coordination.
