Crowne Health Care of Fort Payne is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team within our long-term care and rehabilitation facility.

We are looking for a strong, compassionate nurse leader who is committed to providing exceptional resident care while creating a positive and supportive environment for employees. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Nurse with demonstrated leadership abilities, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and staff development.

• Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Previous nursing leadership or management experience required
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing long-term care
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and develop nursing staff
• Must successfully complete required background check and drug screen

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Department
• Provide leadership and oversight to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff while promoting accountability and teamwork
• Ensure nursing services remain in compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and policies
• Monitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives
• Oversee appropriate nursing staffing and assist with recruitment, retention, and staff development
• Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities
• Prepare for and participate in state surveys and inspections
• Promote a positive workplace culture focused on excellent resident care and employee success
