FAR Inspections is seeking highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Independent contractors can earn predictable full‑time or supplemental income while enjoying a flexible schedule. Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required; effective time management and the ability to meet deadlines are crucial.

• Verify property occupancy and report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
• Conduct primarily exterior inspections; about 10% require interior photos after a property becomes vacant.
• Complete inspections within 4 days of assignment.
• Take 9 or more photos of the property with brief comments.
• Fill out a short form in the app.
• Drive extended periods within the assigned territory, making multiple stops throughout the day.

• Computer with reliable internet connection.
• Reliable vehicle—good gas mileage is a plus (you pay for your own gas).
• Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
• Printer.
• Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license.

This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate, varying by county and volume. Though you are paid per inspection, you can expect an equivalent of $30–$40 per hour. Depending on your county and its urban/rural mix, you may complete anywhere from 20 to 500 inspections per month, working–30 hours per week. Lower‑volume counties have higher rates; higher‑volume counties have lower rates.

Work is consistent month‑to‑month, and you can earn more as you become established or cover a larger territory.

No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
