This is a new 12-month contract Sr. Analytical Scientist opening with a pharmaceutical client operating out of West Point, PA. Potential for contract renewal or direct-hire opportunities are dependent upon performance and company budget.
Pay: $62 - $72/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
Schedule: Mon - Fri standard business hours; 40-hour work week.
Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Analytical Scientist to join our Analytical Development team within the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry. This is a 100% onsite, lab-based role offering a dynamic environment focused on cutting-edge analytical techniques for large molecule development.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and optimize analytical methods for characterization of biologics.
- Perform routine laboratory testing using a variety of separation and biochemical techniques.
- Process and document experimental data in accordance with laboratory standards.
- Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory instruments, including tracking, monitoring, and performing minor repairs.
- Ensure adherence to laboratory safety and cleanliness protocols.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including electronic lab notebooks.
- Review scientific data for accuracy and compliance.
- PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- OR Master's degree with 5+ years of industry experience.
- OR Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of industry experience.
- Hands-on expertise in laboratory techniques, particularly:
- HPLC/UPLC (SEC, HIC, IEX, RP)
- Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), cIEF
- Simple Western
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
- Effective communicator with a detail-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate experimental records and compliance with SOPs and policies.
- Required: Chromatography (HPLC/UPLC - Reverse Phase and SEC)
- Capillary Electrophoresis (CE)
- Preferred: MALS, RI, UV, CAD detection
- DLS and Zeta Potential analysis
- Experience with large molecules
- Electrophoresis and advanced light scattering techniques
- Proficiency in separation methods:
Reverse Phase, SEC, CE, HIC
