Job SummaryThe Logistics Supervisor oversees daily operations within the logistics and supply chain function, ensuring efficient movement, storage, and distribution of goods. This role is responsible for supervising staff, coordinating schedules, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Logistics Supervisor works closely with cross‑functional teams to optimize processes, control costs, and achieve performance targets while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and safety in all logistics activities.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Implements logistics programs, procedures, movement, and storage of materials across the Fort Rucker Aviation Maintenance Services Program IAW the PWS, Army, USAF, FAA, and company guidance.
- Ensures proper inventory control planning and scheduling to meet contractual commitments.
- Oversees the requisitioning effort, provides oversight for tracking materials and supplies, and periodically examines materials delivered to the different airfields and work centers to verify conformance to specifications.
- Oversees the coordination of clerical and manual tasks involving receipt, verification, storage, turn‑in, and issuance of parts, materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Assists in planning and projecting total material requirements program‑wide.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve logistics operations and protect resources.
- Develops and sustains a culture of safety, quality compliance, and professionalism.
- Ensures compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and company policies related to logistics operations.
- Ensures sufficient material, manpower, technical data, tools, and equipment are available to meet PWS requirements.
- Monitors attendance, approves timecards, and assigns overtime.
- Applies company policy and procedures for promotion, training, discipline, and termination of employees.
- Ensures employees possess the training and equipment necessary to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Army aviation logistics and supply chain supervisory experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalency required; bachelor’s degree in a related field desired.
- Familiarity with logistical systems/plans, regulatory standards, Army supply and delivery procedures.
- Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance as required by the PWS.
- A strong understanding of aircraft maintenance, supply, safety, and quality control procedures in a military aviation environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Fluency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Ability to move about both inside aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within proximity of running equipment and aircraft.
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to handle stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non‑confrontational attitude.
- Readiness to work evening and/or night shift as necessary.
