Job SummaryThe Production Planner is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the manufacturing process to ensure efficient production schedules that meet customer demands and company objectives. This role involves analyzing production specifications, capacity, and demand to develop schedules that maximize productivity and minimize costs.
Job Duties- Develop and maintain detailed production schedule based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacities.
- Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or resource availability.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with quality assurance, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to synchronize production activities and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and work-in-progress.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to align production plans with organizational goals.
- Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing production efficiency, reducing waste, and improving overall operational performance using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.).
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or supply chain.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and APS tools. Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change. Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to details.
- Experience in a high‑mix manufacturing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact with various departments.
- Skilled in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Excellent planning and time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ensuring accuracy in scheduling and inventory management.
