The Beauty Advisor (BA) provides an exceptional experience for all Ulta Beauty guests by engaging each guest to determine individual needs, performing cashier tasks, maintaining fixture cleanliness, and supporting the leadership team through performance, people, and process focus. The BA must be enthusiastic about the beauty industry and capable of learning and communicating product knowledge.

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni‑channel sales, and retail shrink goals.
• Deliver exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, and personalizing each guest, answering product questions, informing guests about promotions and sales, and recommending complementary Ulta Beauty products and services.
• Handle customer service, sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously and assist with online orders.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.
• Book appointments and support the execution of services and in‑store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while driving sales goals.
• Stay informed about new and existing products and services, maintain product knowledge and ingredient benefits to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Create an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and internal/external guests.
• Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app, with guests on the sales floor and when prompted by Ulta Beauty systems.
• Collaborate with managers and associates throughout the store to help grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education, to continuously develop and drive sales performance.
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards, and adhere to the dress code.
• Support store standards by keeping assigned areas replenished, signed, and faced, and ensuring testers are available.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including sales floor, restrooms, cash wrap, backroom, and break area.
• Assist with merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory procedures, and shipments using Ulta Beauty technology.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience (preferred).
• Passion for guest service and competency for selling.
• Basic technology proficiency (e.g., POS system, Apple devices).
• Strong customer relationship building skills.
• Troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift.
• Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting during shift.
• Continuous or frequent lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 25 lbs. during shift.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shift.
