Staff Scientist

Spectrum Environmental, Inc., an established firm spanning more than 30 years in business and with offices in Mobile, Alabama;
Birmingham, Alabama; and Nashville, Tennessee is seeking a motivated individual to join our Assessment team in our Alabaster, Alabama office. The successful candidate should be a great communicator in all aspects and possess characteristics of a servant leader. Though we expect the chosen candidate to further define, develop, and lead in their role, we provide the following as a framework of what will be expected of this individual:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Biology or related environmental field
• 1+ years’ experience in the environmental field is a plus
• Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments
• Soil and groundwater sampling
• Geologic Evaluations
• Mold Evaluations
• Assessment staff training and development
• Task/Project management and coordination
• Be willing to take on other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.

Conditions – Any offer of employment is subject to the results of a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and review of Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and background check.

Salary – Commensurate with experience.
