Fire Alarm Technician – Fire Safety and Protection

Responsibilities- Design and program fire alarm systems to meet local, state, and federal regulations.
- Test and troubleshoot systems to ensure proper operation.
- Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and stakeholders to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and colleagues.
- Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and reports.
- Stay current with code changes, industry best practices, and new technologies.
- Ensure compliance with all codes and safety protocols.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Experience programming, testing, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems.
- Familiarity with specialized software and tools for programing fire alarm systems.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing these systems.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, with excellent communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and physical ability to perform the job duties.
- Degree or certification in a related field is preferred.
- Period of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders.
- Physically able to install system hardware and wiring.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds at a time.
