Job Duties- Assist Maintenance Technicians with routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility.
- Help troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facility-related issues.
- Assist with preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, conveyors, and other production systems.
- Use basic hand and power tools safely and properly.
- Help inspect equipment and report maintenance issues or potential problems.
- Assist with replacing belts, bearings, hoses, filters, and other components as directed.
- Keep maintenance areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA guidelines.
- Assist with emergency repairs and respond to equipment issues as needed.
- Perform general facility maintenance and other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school, vocational training, or industrial maintenance certification preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, blueprints, or equipment documentation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and preventative maintenance practices.
- Previous maintenance, mechanical, construction, or industrial experience preferred.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial.
- Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Maintenance Technician Helper.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
- Manual dexterity to operate tools, perform repairs, and inspect equipment.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
