Join to apply for the Construction Project Engineer role at Saarman Construction, Ltd.
We are looking for a project engineer to support the preconstruction and estimating team. This role will work directly with seasoned assistant estimators and estimators to prepare estimates ranging from conceptual to detailed estimating. The position helps prepare for pre‑bid jobsite meetings, preliminary construction schedules, RIFs, RFQs, and other project documents. Calling subcontractors for multiple bids and cultivating relationships with vendors is a key part of the role.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or technical institute degree (recommended)
- 1 to 3 years in commercial construction and estimating experience (recommended)
- Proficient in desktop publishing, estimating, and scheduling software
- Able to read, understand, and interpret drawings and specifications
- Able to manage multiple projects at one time
- Self‑directed with a high level of initiative
- Able to successfully work within a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Committed to delivering outstanding customer service and quality work
