Overview
Ninyo & Moore, A SOCOTEC Company has an immediate opening for a licensed Project or Senior Project Environmental Engineer or Geologist in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr. The actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will conduct and manage environmental investigations, soil and groundwater remediation, schedule projects, mentor staff, manage budgets, and interact with clients and regulatory agencies, including the US Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Toxic Substances Control, the Regional Water Quality Control Board and local Environmental Health agencies.
Responsibilities- Coordinate, participate in, and oversee staff field activities, including logging of borings, test pits, trenches and cores
- Evaluate geologic and hydrogeologic conditions
- Sample soil, soil gas, and groundwater
- Prepare environmental proposals and reports
- Provide technical support to staff-level engineers, geologists, and field technicians
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- California PE or PG licensure REQUIRED
- Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER training required
- Other certifications and registrations a plus
- Stormwater QSD certification strongly preferred
- 10+ years of experience performing the listed tasks, with at least 5 years of project management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication, ability to work with teams and independently
- Proficiency with Word and Excel
- Experience managing projects and budgets, client relationships, subcontractors, and preparing technical proposals and reports
- Local geologic and engineering practice knowledge and familiarity with state and federal regulations
- Team player, detail-oriented, excellent communication skills
- Experience with construction activities
