Pyka’s goal is to provide society with a new form of safe, clean, and cost-effective transportation enabled by autonomous electric aviation. To get there, we’re applying our technologies to every industry where autonomous electric aircraft can be useful, starting with the highest value and most dangerous jobs. We design, develop and manufacture an ecosystem of technologies including proprietary flight control software, avionics, high power density motors, motor controllers, batteries, and custom carbon‑fiber composite airframes.
Today, we supply autonomous electric aircraft for cargo transport and crop protection to real‑world customers across four separate continents and have secured industry‑first regulatory approvals from the FAA.
Pyka is looking for an Integration Technician with the skills and drive to operate in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment. In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of aircraft manufacturing, including assembling and testing subsystems, aircraft systems integration, improving work instructions, maintenance support, and occasional repair.
Responsibilities- Assemble and test mechanical and electrical components and systems under the guidance of engineers to meet specifications
- Maintain the equipment and tools being used in the area
- Order and maintain tools, supplies, and consumables
- Collaborate with Inventory Dept to manage parts inventory, acquire necessary components for prototypes and production, and ensure availability of supplies for uninterrupted workflow
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to company regulations and standards
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues with new and existing systems
- Collaborate with designers and engineers in the development of prototypes and finished systems
- Contribute to the creation of detailed technical documentation, including assembly instructions and test reports
- 1–4 years of experience in automotive, aviation maintenance, industrial mechanical/electrical, or HVAC
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment like torque wrenches, micrometers, and fluke meters
- Ability to work effectively with engineers, other technicians, and production teams to develop and implement solutions
- A&P certification or time towards certification is a bonus

- Integration Technician Level 1: $28–$32/hour
- Integration Technician Level 2: $34.50–$39/hour
- Compensation will vary depending on location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly wage ranges are subject to change
