Stylist – Ulta Beauty

• Perform hair services including hair design, haircuts, color, texture, hair treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing (where applicable).
• Meet or exceed sales goal of $800 average weekly sales and productivity goals for hair services.
• Demonstrate business acumen with understanding of business drivers and identified opportunities for growth.
• Perform product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and improve the guest service experience.
• Support execution of in‑store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed regarding industry trends, products, and services.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and appropriate retail and service recommendations.
• Demonstrate high standards of customer service and salon image standards.
• Serve all guests, including walk‑in guests, in a timely and efficient manner.
• Develop partnership with skin therapists and retail team for a total‑store experience.
• Establish professional peer and brand partner relationships.
• Share benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings.

• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures before, during, and after services.
• Follow established service protocols to ensure consistency.
• Utilize booking system to book guests for return services and events.
• Communicate supply needs to EM to ensure guest readiness.
• Maintain outstanding store operational standards.
• Adhere to Ulta Beauty dress code.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices.
• Execute operational tasks as directed.

• Cosmetology license.

• Previous relevant salon experience is preferred.

• Proficiency with latest salon techniques for performing a range of services.
• Proficiency with equipment and chemicals needed to perform technical work.
• Proficiency to demonstrate, recommend and sell pro hair care and makeup products.
• Developed communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and clientele.

• Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Frequent mobility during shift.
• Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, and crouching.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $20.00 per hour with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn services pay pursuant to the Company’s Services Compensation Plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also earn overtime pay as required by applicable law and tips paid by service guests.
