SUMMARY/
JOB PURPOSE:
On a day-to-day basis scientist is expected to perform a variety of routine and complex analytical experiments using HPLC/UPLC LC-MS UV-Vis FT-IR Dissolution etc. Operate maintain and troubleshoot Agilent LC and MS instruments using Agilent Open Lab and EMPOWER softwares. Ability to optimize methods as well as analyze raw materials intermediates drug substance and drug product samples accurately in accordance with established methods.
- Performing experiments to support drug substance and drug product development and release of finished products.
- Analyze data acquired to draw conclusions based on statistical analysis and established quality control criteria.
- Document work in ELN in compliance with company procedures and Good Documentation Practices.
- Perform duties with commitment to laboratory safety and adherence to best practices.
- Occasionally coordinate with service engineers and company facilities team to schedule maintenance of analytical instrumentation.
No supervisory responsibilities required.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemistry or related field with an emphasis in analytical chemistry.
- One to five years of chromatography experience in pharmaceutical analytical field.
- Knowledge and experience in developing and qualifying LC methods utilizing Agilent liquid chromatography instruments.
- Willingness to learn, adaptability and ability to take on new challenges.
- Good interpersonal skills, flexibility in a fast-paced environment and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
On-site full time job. Travel not required.
