Position: Scientist III (Chemistry)

Base Pay Range

$67.00/hr - $68.00/hr

Contract Length

6 month initial contract (commitment required)

Summary / Job Purpose

On a day-to-day basis, the scientist is expected to perform a variety of routine and complex analytical experiments using HPLC/UPLC, LC‑MS, UV‑Vis, FT‑IR, dissolution, and other techniques.

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Agilent LC and MS instruments using Agilent Open Lab and EMPOWER software. Optimize methods and accurately analyze raw materials, intermediates, drug substance, and drug product samples in accordance with established procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform experiments to support drug substance and drug product development and release of finished products.
  • Analyze data acquired to draw conclusions based on statistical analysis and established quality control criteria.
  • Document work in the ELN in compliance with company procedures and Good Documentation Practices.
  • Maintain laboratory safety and adhere to best practices.
  • Coordinate with service engineers and company facilities team to schedule maintenance of analytical instrumentation as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities

No supervisory responsibilities required.

Education / Experience / Knowledge & Skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (highly preferred) in chemistry or a related field with an emphasis in analytical chemistry. PhDs considered.
  • One to five years of chromatography experience in a pharmaceutical analytical field is required.
  • HPLC/UPLC is a must.
  • LC‑MS is a must.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing and qualifying LC methods using Agilent liquid chromatography instruments is desired.
  • Willingness to learn, adaptability, and drive to take on new challenges.
  • Good interpersonal skills, flexibility in a fast‑paced environment, and ability to work well within a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions

Contract position. Mid‑Senior level. This science and research role operates in pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology research, and medical equipment manufacturing settings.
