Job Summary

Kids Planet II CDC, a 5-star FOCUS-rated early learning center in Alamogordo, is seeking a Preschool Lead Teacher / Curriculum Support Specialist to join its team. This position supports daily classroom operations, guides teacher-child interaction, and ensures curriculum quality for children ages 3 to 5.

Responsibilities

· Support classroom teachers in planning and implementing curriculum

· Monitor classroom operations and staff-to-child ratios

· Maintain educational and behavioral records in compliance with licensing regulations

· Coordinate field trips and collect necessary permissions and payments

· Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with all state regulations

· Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment

· Participate in team planning and staff development activities

Qualifications

· Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)

· At least 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting

· Knowledge of curriculum development and early childhood education standards

· Strong communication and leadership skills

· Ability to guide and support preschool teachers

· Bilingual in Spanish is a plus (not required)

· Familiarity with NM childcare licensing standards preferred
