An Energy Technician is responsible for improving the energy efficiency and comfort of residential homes by applying weatherproofing techniques. This includes installing insulation, sealing air leaks, repairing windows and doors, and ensuring proper ventilation. The technician works with various materials and tools to reduce energy consumption, enhance indoor air quality, and increase the building’s overall energy performance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Installs insulation in existing homes in attics,crawlspace sand walls.
- Uses, foam, mastic, caulking and other materials toeliminatedrafts in attics, crawlspaces,window sand doors.
- Use diagnostic tools to assess the air leakage and safety issues in homes.
- Works on a crew of up to three technicians.
- High standards of workethic, professional appearance, customerserviceand teamwork are expected.

- Works in all areas of the home including spaces with limited clearance, such as attics, crawlspaces, and basements.
- Performs general remodeling related tasks including drywall, framing, texturing, etc.
- Performs regular maintenance on tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Apply safety practices and principles in daily work.
- Participates in organization-wide efforts to improve efficiency, teamwork, and quality of service.
High School Diploma or equivalent(GED).Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Candidates will be subject to a criminal background check and motor vehicle report.(See job-specific qualifications below).
- While prior experience is not necessary for this entry-level position, certain qualifications are vital to performing energy-efficiency work effectively and safely. Field training is provided.

- Prior experience in home improvement, construction, carpentry, mechanical, utility, or building trade is preferable but not required to be qualified as field training is provided.
- Candidates must have a valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within twoweeks of hiring and no major violations within the past 3 years.

30and/or First Aid/CPR/AED certification is a plus - Building Science Principles certification is a plus
- Experience driving Box Truck (dimensions 16x8x8). While aClass-CDriver’sLicense IS NOT required to operate this sizeof Box Truck, state mandated “insured driver” requirements must be met to operate an ERC vehicle.
Crew Lead (Energy Efficiency Technician III)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYNone,as thisisan entry-level position.
TRAVELTravel IS required to/from service region job sites throughout Colorado in company vehicles with lunch being on-site. Personal vehicles and personal tools are NOT required for this position.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSApplicant must be able tolift upto 60lbs. and occasionally 75lbs. Must be able to maneuver and perform work in tight spaces with a minimum of 24” of vertical clearance, and work on roofs and ladders up to 35 feet in height. While performing job-relateddutiesapplicantswillbe required to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, crawl,demonstrate manual dexterity, speak, hear, and seeduring all season-weather. Appropriate equipment and PPE will be provided via ERC.
