The Business Office Administrator plays a key role in supporting the Bristol Bay Campus and the regions it serves by ensuring smooth and efficient business and administrative operations. This position provides essential administrative, fiscal, and programmatic support to the Campus Director, faculty, and staff. The incumbent will manage daily operations, coordinate program activities, and oversee business processes that contribute to the success of the campus.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, initiative, and technical proficiency in supporting the administrative and fiscal operations of the Bristol Bay Campus. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Possesses a strong understanding of UAF regulations, policies, and procedures, and can apply them effectively in daily operations.
Demonstrates a solid foundation in budgeting and the grant process, with the ability to track, analyze, and report on financial activities. Shows proficiency in creating and managing Docu Sign templates and maintaining online filing systems. Exhibits strong problem‑solving abilities, using sound judgment to address challenges and improve processes. Be comfortable creating and leading training or orientation sessions, ensuring others understand key procedures and systems.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Master’s degree preferred.
Position DetailsThis position is located on the Bristol campus in Dillingham AK. This is a full-time, 10.5 month, exempt staff position complete with a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage.
New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
