Job DescriptionThis role is a dual capacity operator‑maintainer; it involves safely operating and maintaining fully functional systems, equipment, or circuits—such as radar, radio, telecommunications, and video—to support combat force training. Responsibilities include circuit analysis, waveform calculation, fault detection, troubleshooting, and repair using complex test instruments such as high‑frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and computer‑controlled equipment. Routine oversight of compliance with accepted practices may be performed by a supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Accomplish pod transport, loading, and unloading on all relevant aircraft
- Perform periodic, preventive, and corrective AS/Pod maintenance
- Install systems, prepare for use, and handle reshipment
- Maintain Range Remote Units and associated communications equipment
- Identify and report corrections or improvements to technical data
- Identify and report product quality/materials deficiencies
- Report equipment status, generate maintenance data, and prepare necessary documentation
- Ensure compliance with TDXi Quality Control and Safety Programs
- Carry out other duties assigned by the Program Manager
- Associate’s Degree in a technical field (or equivalent vocational or military training)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related field
- US Citizen with Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain) required to start
- Valid state driver’s license
- Eligibility for a flight‑line driving permit
- Physical ability to assist in lifting, maneuvering, and carrying ACTS/ACMI pods in varied environments—shop, warehouse, bay, flight‑line
- Proficient reading, speaking, and writing in English
- Basic to advanced technical knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and devices
- Ability to interpret and solve problems using circuit diagrams, manufacturer manuals, and test instruments such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, voltage and frequency meters, and computer‑controlled analyzers
