Position: Badger Precollege Program Residential Assistant (RA)

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Plan and execute social, cultural, and educational activities for students during afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • Serve as a peer resource and mentor, assisting students with academic, personal, and social challenges
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and residence hall policies to safeguard student welfare
  • Respond to emergencies or unexpected situations at any time of day or night
  • Collaborate closely with other residential staff to support programming and operational needs
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Experience working with middle and high school students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
  • Experience living or working in a residence hall environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances with flexibility and confidence
  • Strong sense of inclusivity and community-oriented principles
  • Willingness to complete pre-program training as outlined by the employer

  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring youth and leading activities
  • Knowledge of restorative/corrective practices and responsive behavior methods
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
