Job Description
- Manages production operations of the processing facility, including staffing, engineering, planning, quality control and maintenance to effect operational efficiency and economy.
- Manages relationships with independent fishermen and tender vessels who supply the facilities. Recruits new fishermen and tenders as needed.
- Ensures that all facility operations are in compliance with laws and regulations. Ensures that the final product is safe to deliver to market.
- Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Resolves any operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Develops and maintains operations business plans including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs to ensure performance at planned capacity.
- Monitors facility production reports and financials to ensure all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
- Provides input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products.
- Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
Additional Responsibilities
- Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years supervision/leadership experience in manufacturing operation environment.
- Bachelor’s degree from four‑year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Continuous Improvement / Lean manufacturing experience;
Green Belt or higher certification preferred. - Experience managing people and supply logistics in remote Alaska.
- Effective at communicating with people from diverse cultures.
- Must be flexible, innovative, and comfortable in setting own priorities and driving same to the production floor.
- Able to work both independently and within a team generating results with general/minimal guidance.
