Join COLASKA INC’s Southeast Road Builders (SERB) as a Concrete Plant Operator / Driver in Haines, AK. The role involves operating heavy equipment, driving mixer trucks, and maintaining a concrete plant. You will regularly communicate with clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and senior management.

• Read and interpret mix designs and specifications.
• Operate heavy equipment required for project completion; operate company vehicles to move people and equipment between job locations and company facilities.
• Perform skilled work related to concrete manufacturing.
• Perform administrative tasks, including e‑mail correspondence, time‑card entry, handling documents and electronic files.
• Ensure equipment maintenance inspections are completed to maintain equipment in safe operating condition.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance on equipment; refer major problems to the shop.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety regulatory requirements, guidelines, and protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to property. Maintain a thorough understanding of regulations related to concrete manufacturing.

• Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving history.
• Commercial driver’s license required.

• 1 to 3 years of experience in concrete manufacturing or a related field.
• Self‑directed, driven by results, and highly motivated with minimal direct guidance.
• Proven track record of maintaining a safe work culture.
• Knowledge of construction processes related to area of responsibility.
• Mechanical skills and proficiency preferred.
• Ability to use a computer and/or mobile device, including MS Office, Android and iOS applications.

• Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
• Regularly required to use hands to feel, handle and manipulate objects, write, use a keyboard and/or mobile device.
• Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear), and perform tasks requiring visual acuity.
• Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Standing/working on feet for long periods (8 hours or more), and walking across uneven terrain.
• Frequently work in close proximity to heavy equipment and machinery.
• Frequent exposure to typical construction site conditions, including dust, loud noise, and all weather conditions.
• Some exposure to fuel, oil, and other chemicals.
