American Traveler is hiring a Float RN for Nights with Med-Surg and Emergency Department experience, requiring an active AK RN license and prior Med-Surg experience.
Details- Float position primarily on the Med-Surg floor with possible Emergency Department coverage as needed
- Night shift schedule, 545p-615a
- 13-week assignment
- Active AK RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC certification preferred
- Med-Surg nursing experience required
- Provides nursing care on the Med-Surg floor with potential floating to the Emergency Department
- Housing is provided and paid for, located within a half mile of the hospital with access to town amenities
- Housing may be shared or private depending on availability, and pets are not allowed
- Located in Cordova, Alaska, a small fishing community with hiking trails, a small ski hill, fishing opportunities, and an active winter community
- Daily Alaska Air flights service the area
- Mild winters with rain at sea level and snow at higher elevations, with typical temperatures in the 20s and 30s
